Weekend Recap! #5
Hi lively friends! This was the first weekend in a while where we had NO PLANS! Does anyone else also think that is the best feeling ever? Where you just make plans as the day goes on? Saturday: I started the day off with a swim after the babies were down for their first nap. Surprisingly, I got tired 15 minutes in, which is unlike me - normally that's when I start to feel more energized! After 20 minutes, I hopped out and made my way to the steam room. I've learned to not push myself in these situations and just listen. If my body doesn't feel like a swim then I'm not going to do it! My reasoning behind this is that I have to two little babes to care for the rest of the day on top of other activities! If my body is not feeling it - I'm not pushing it. However, I never regret a workout. Regardless of whether it's cut short, I'm still always glad I went! After that, Matthew and I started a little renovation project in our front yard - clearing bushes, filling holes with topsoil, seeding and fertilizing it. Since we've done all that, our next step is to fence in the yard to make a grassy baby prison for Oliver and Olivia this summer! We want a safe area for them to play in so this is a project we are super pumped about doing! After the yard work, we hung out with family until it was time to go to Mass. We started to reminisce because honestly, that made us feel old! Ha! Isn't it crazy how time flies? Matthew and I were laughing about how we should unpack the twins and show them to all the high schoolers and say "If you don't behave tonight, this is what you can get!". A little free sex-ed class! Totally inappropriate - I promise you, we would never actually do that but it had us laughing. They would be so disturbed! After mass, we made our way home because it was almost the babe's bedtime! Once Oliver and Olivia were down for the count we hit the ground running. [...]
