Beef Nachos Supreme!

By |July 19th, 2019|Categories: Blog Post, Recipes|Tags: , , |Comments Off on Beef Nachos Supreme!

My cravings have been very different this pregnancy compared to my first with the twins! However, the one similar craving I have had is NACHOS! I don't mind this one bit because it's a dish you can make semi-healthy and guilt-free! If you have been following my page for a while now then you know I like to make dishes that are simple, easy to make with toddlers playing around me, and that is cost-effective! Ingredients: Taco seasoning - I used one packet of store-bought taco seasoning 1 pound ground beef - you can always swap this out for ground turkey! 1/2 yellow onion diced 2 bags of tortilla chips - I used blue corn chips for our nachos! 1 can of refried beans 16 ounces of shredded cheese - I used Cheddar and Monterey jack! 2 to 3 green onions sliced Instructions: Preheat the oven at 400 degrees. Meanwhile, on the stovetop, brown [...]

Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Grilled Cheese Sandwich

By |November 19th, 2018|Categories: Blog Post, Recipes|Tags: , |Comments Off on Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Grilled Cheese Sandwich

I call this the lazy wife dinner when I do not feel like making a darn thing! We need to have a few meals like this, right? I enjoy making dinner because it puts a big smile on Matthews face (and you know, eating is cool too) but some days I struggle to find the time. My littles keep me busy so not gonna lie in order to make these  I put them both in their high chairs and they watched Frozen while eating some banana. That bought me ten minutes to make 4 sandwiches and call it a day! Woo-hoo! Ingredients: (makes 1 sandwich) 4 slices of turkey bacon 2 pieces of lettuce 2 TBS of butter 2 slices of whole wheat bread 2 slices of american cheese singles Instructions: Cook your bacon! I prefer using the stovetop over the oven. Soften butter in the mircowave for about 10 seconds Brush butter [...]

Friends, you have been asking me to just share nightly what I have made for the day (dinner wise) so I'm going to try my best to hop on here at night to share that day's dinner! It's a new week budgeting and prepping meals! I stayed at my goal of $130 for the week so let's see if I can stick to that or have last minute trips to make later in the week. We shall seeee! For tonights (Monday's) dinner I prepped a sheet pan consisting of vegetables and steak. You know how us women get called "basic" when we hit up the drivethru to Starbucks? I literally think the same thing about men when they see a steak - ha! Seriously though, I do. I find it super funny how excited steak makes men, at least all the ones I've ever met! When I came across this recipe, I knew [...]

Weekend Recap! #10

By |July 9th, 2018|Categories: Blog Post, Lifestyle, Motherhood, Recipes|Tags: , , , , , |Comments Off on Weekend Recap! #10

Hi my friends! This weekend was a busy yet very fun one! Let's get right to it! Saturday: It's funny because Matthew and I were talking late Friday night about laying low and relaxing more on our Saturday, and we did the complete opposite of that! Here's why though! We recently decided that our first home (the one we are currently living in) will be our first rental property. This is something we have always wanted to do together- take a house, really fix it up, and turn it into a rental as a side income. Our house is older and has been added on to several times. A lot of things have not been updated in quite sometime but it has so much potential. Frankly, when we do move I will really miss the location. The potential of our home has us so exicted that we are immersing ourselves into some house [...]

By |July 2nd, 2018|Categories: Blog Post, Motherhood, Recipes|Tags: , , , , , , |Comments Off on Weekend Recap!

You only have 18 summers with your babies...let that sink in for a second. I was scrolling Instagram and stumbled upon a post by one of my mommy friends and that was what she said in her caption. It made my heart sink a little. 18 summers where you can really make it count with your children- and lets be real, have more of a say of what you all do- ha! It made me more than motivated to spend as much quality time as a little family together and make sure to do a lot of fun family acitivites...even if it's just simple! The point is we are spending quality time, -together.  Friday: Friday afternoon we made our way to target because we wanted to get a little baby pool for some summer fun! After making our purchase we ran a few fast errands, including a trip to Buffalo Wild Wings. I [...]

I hope everyone had a funfilled Fathers Day weekend! This was definitely one for the books for our family. Let me fill you guys on the past couple days! Saturday: We started our day at around 5:30 a.m. Oh boy! What was even weirder about waking up this early is that I woke up to my alarm on my phone and not a baby! That hasn't happened...since they were born. For once I was waking Oliver and Olivia up because today was family race day! Steamboat is a race that I have been running in every year since I was 8 years old with my family and friends. When Matthew and I started dating at Bradley this was the first race we ever ran together. There are is so much history and sentiment associated with this race. Last year, at about 29 weeks pregnant, I watched from the sidelines as Matthew ran and [...]

Mini Banana Muffins!

By |May 30th, 2018|Categories: Blog Post, Recipes|Tags: , , , , , |Comments Off on Mini Banana Muffins!

Here I am stopping by on a Wednesday! What is life? Hiiii, my favorite internet friends! I found out really fast that my babies really, REALLY love muffins! My mom and I took them to Panera for the first time and Olivia, especially, was chowing down! It was the cutest site to watch. Originally I was just looking for something to entertain them in their high chairs while I scarfed my food down real fast. They shared one muffin (let's be real a lot ended up on the floor) and it entertained them for almost 20 minutes! I was at Kroger later in the week and scooped up a mini muffin pan so I could make my babes a healthier version of the muffin they scarfed down! Let's take a look. Mini Banana Muffins Ingredients: 3-4 banana's (I used three large ones!) 1/3 cup melted butter 1 egg 3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce (originally [...]

Things You Ask Thursday! #8

By |May 18th, 2018|Categories: Blog Post, Lifestyle, Motherhood, Recipes|Tags: , , |Comments Off on Things You Ask Thursday! #8

This week I have a lot of wedding shenanigans going on because my best friend is getting married. I was going to post this yesterday, but life happened! Soooo, let's dive right in! Things You Ask Thursday - on a Friday! 1.) How do you get so much done during the twins naptime? How do you stay focused and on task? I find myself wanting to sleep and do nothing but relax. It always depends on the day because, let's be real, some days their naps can be a total flop! They either do not nap as long as they should or something else goes array. However, today is a great one to use as an example because it was one of those days were their long nap was a total success and I was determined to get a lot done in that two and a half time span! The babies went down right at [...]
